As the oceans’ largest creatures, whales hold a certain fascination for marine biologists. Between their intelligence, enchanting calls of communication across the water and sheer size, whales are viewed as a species worth studying and worth protecting. Researchers at Oregon State University in particular want to learn more. Thanks to a recent grant from the US Navy, scientists at Oregon State University have been tagging blue whales and fin whales off the coast of southern California this summer to learn more about their movements, especially around feeding grounds where ship traffic frequently passes through.
The Collaborative Life Science Building & Skourtes Tower is a unique project opening in June 2014 to bring together Oregon Health & Science University, Oregon State University and Portland State University in one location to benefit all of Oregon.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture has awarded a grant of $4.7 million to Oregon State University to support its intervention program that keeps young people fit and healthy.
For lab suppliers intent on connecting with the top research markets in their North West Territories, take note: there are only four spaces left at two or our three events at the fall 2013 Oregon life science product shows.
Exhibitors, if you are looking for value and visibility in a very competitive marketplace look no further than our Nationwide BioResearch Product Faire Front Line™ (BRPF) University events. At our BRPF Front Line Events™ you can anticipate a streamline event with all the most essential elements for sales success. These event locations are usually smaller and more intimate, than our BioResearch Product Faire™ and Biotechnology Vendor Showcase™ events.
