As part of its worldwide microbiome series, Global Engage is pleased to announce the 5th Microbiome R&D and Business Collaboration Forum: USA which will be held on 2- 3 November 2017 and will be located with the 2nd Probiotics Congress.
Last year’s congress attracted over 350 industry, academic and investment leaders to discuss the microbiome in health and disease; challenges and opportunities in moving research towards commercialization; and potential partnerships and collaborations.
Over 400 attendees are expected to converge on San Diego this fall to hear a 70-strong speaker faculty discuss the latest developments; engage in expert-led roundtable discussions and extended panel discussions; analyse the newest biotechs and start-ups worthy of investment, and utilise over seven hours of dedicated networking time to broaden business connections within the field. The Global Engage series is rapidly gaining a fantastic reputation as the number one microbiome networking event. If looking to either learn more from the top scientists in the microbiome and probiotic space; showcase exciting developments in your research; or seek partnerships and funding within the industry; it is a congress not to be missed.

Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following: 4th International Conference on Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing to be held on 10/25/17 - 10/27/17.
The aim of ICMMM is to present the latest research and results of scientists related to Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing topics. This conference provides opportunities for the different areas delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration. We hope that the conference results constituted significant contribution to the knowledge in these up to date scientific fields.
The focus of the conference is to establish an effective platform for institutions and industries to share ideas and to present the works of scientists, engineers, educators and students from all over the world. The organizing committee of conference is pleased to invite prospective authors to submit their original manuscripts to ICMMM 2017.

Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following: QSP Industry & Academia Symposium to be held on 10/24/17 from 5 PM - 7:30 PM.
Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) is a mathematical modeling and engineering approach to translational medicine that aims to quantitatively integrate knowledge about therapeutics with an understanding of its mechanism of action in the context of human disease mechanisms. QSP approaches de-risk projects, accelerate the development of best in class therapeutics, and reduce late stage attrition rates. This results in helping industry save money, accelerate timelines, and make better therapeutics, ultimately improving patients’ lives.
The QSP Industry & Academia Symposium is a seminar series for presenting, learning and discussing topics relevant to QSP. The goal of the event is to foster an active community of industry and academia participants interested in this topic and create a forum for sharing successes and challenges.
Please remember to bring a government-issued photo ID for check in.

Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following: 4th Supply Chain Logistics Forum to be held on 10/24/17 - 10/26/17.
Despite a surge in new technologies and improved processes to optimize logistics operations, the oil and gas sector has been a laggard in their adoption.
Leaders from within the logistics and supply chain functions are adopting automation, BI, analytics, IoT and mobility solutions to control costs and improve efficiencies during the downturn. In addition, they have been improving their logistics processes to streamline and rightsize their logistics operations.
O&G Supply Chain Logistics returns to Houston for it’s 4th year this October to provide a unique platform to share successes and lessons learnt during the downturn from companies in the oil and gas supply chain.
Hear practical strategies from operators, oilfield services, equipment and materials suppliers and 3PLs on:
- Embedding technology, automation and analytics to reduce costs, minimize risks and improve efficiency
- Rightsizing and streamlining the supply chain and logistics to industry headwinds
- Embedding compliance and sustainability to mitigate financial and reputational risks
- Leveraging the emergence of materials marketplaces

Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following: Pharmaceutical Microscopy Workshop: Polymorphism to be held on 10/24/17 - 10/26/17.
The choice of the optimum solid-state form is critical for successful pharmaceutical development. Broadly defined, form includes polymorphs, hydrates, solvates, salts, co-crystals etc. Microscopy is well- suited to the study of solid-state form.
This workshop covers the use of the microscope in both early pharmaceutical development when the form is chosen and in later stages of development where the form is monitored for stability.
The material in this workshop is broadly separated by development phase into form discovery and form understanding. Form discovery usually occurs before first time in human (FTIH) into Phase 1. Form understanding generally occurs in Phase 1 and Phase 2, although some work extends into Phase 3.
This workshop emphasizes the role of microscopy in each aspect of form understanding. Although we will discuss solid-state theory and fundamentals, the workshop relies heavily on case studies, demonstrations, and instrument usage.
