Researchers at Ohio State University received a $4.3 million Cancer Center Support Grant from the NIH this year. Led by Dr. Michael Caligiuri, the Ohio State Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of only 41 designated comprehensive cancer centers in the nation. According to the Ohio State University website, the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute are focused on creating a better understanding of laboratory, clinical and population-based cancer research. Researchers at Ohio State University make it their goal to develop more effective approaches to cancer prevention, diagnosis and therapies.

Lab suppliers interested in marketing life science solutions and increasing laboratory sales leads may want to take a closer look at the research being conducted at Ohio State University and the school’s wealth of research funding. The school is renowned for its powerhouse research programs where investigators have more than $185 million in internal and external funding. According to the Ohio State University website, the NIH ranked the school 10th in total expenditures for public and private universities, including expenditures in the health sciences, and second in industry-sponsored research.

Join us on August 7th to meet face-to-face with Ohio researchers at our University of Cincinnati, Ohio BioResearch Product Faire™ Event. Of the 181 attendees from last year's Cincinnati event, 31% were professors, post docs, purchasing, and lab managers. These guests came from 14 buildings, and 32 departments from the University of Cincinnati.
As you may know, researchers are becoming more aware of the environment and are looking for greener products to use in their bioscience research so that they can reduce their level of environmental impact.
