9th International Meeting on Yeast Apoptosis
Conference - Rome, Italy
Protein synsthesis, mitochondrial biogenesis, mitochondrial retrograde response, the proteasome and autophagy, are among major intracellular processes that have been first and in more detail characterized in yeast. Recent achievements in Saccharomyces cerevisiae cell biology have revealed the molecular pathways of programmed cell death in this unicellular eukaryote, increasing the knowledge of cellular processes regulating life and death in probably the most well characterized model organism at the molecular level. The 9th International Meeting on Yeast Apoptosis will bring together investigators from around the world to present and discuss researches employing yeasts as model organisms to study regulated cell death and its role in stress responses, aging and development.

2012 30th NPS: Immunomodulation by Plant-Associated Organisms
Symposium - Fallen Leaf Lake, California, USA
The New Phytologist Trust is an independent, not-for profit organization dedicated to the promotion of plant science.
The Trust owns New Phytologist, a leading international journal that offers rapid publication of high-quality original research on all aspects of plant science. Excess revenue from sales of the journal are used to facilitate research and scholarship in plant science, in particular, through the organization of symposia to open access for our Tansley reviews.

2nd Neuropsychiatric Research and Development
Conference - San Francisco, CA
The last decade has seen an impressive dissolution of the thin line dividing neurologic and psychiatric disorders. Today, the fields of neuropsychiatry and behavioral neurology are two of the fastest growing and are most vigorously researched specialties in the medical arena. The past year has seen an incredible increase in the elucidation of both the biological and functional underpinnings of numerous neuropsychiatric conditions including: depression, anxiety disorders, aging-associated diseases, and degenerative diseases. With increased access to imaging and analytic techniques; novel on- and off-label treatment options are emerging on a near-monthly basis.
GTC is proud to host our inaugural 2nd Neuropsychiatric Research and Development conference, to be held September 13-14, 2012 in San Francisco, CA. This conference will update practitioners in psychiatry, neurology, and primary care on the latest in neuropsychiatric theory and practice. Through a series of presentations led by industry leaders from the fields of medical research, academic research, pharmaceutical development, and biotech engineering, we will supply attendees with the latest developments in neuropsychiatric pathologies, epidemiologies, and treatment options. This conference will provide a forum for intimate discourse that can lead to increased benefits for clients and patients suffering from a number of prominent disorders.
