The 2nd World Research Congress on Controversies in Hematology

The 2nd World Congress on Controversies in Hematology (COHEM)

Congress - Barcelona, Spain

Following the great success of the 1st World Congress on Controversies in Hematology (COHEM) which attracted almost 500 participants from more than 60 countries, we are delighted to invite you to participate in the 2nd World Congress on Controversies in Hematology (COHEM) which will take place on September 6-8, 2012.

The 2nd COHEM Congress aims to circulate up to date information and to provide a unique opportunity for world leaders in the field to debate the most vital and contentious issues in benign and malignant Hematology. This thought-provoking academic dialogue will raise the most challenging current clinical and technological questions.

Protein-Folding Diseases: Models & Mechanisms - Research Symposium

Protein-Folding Diseases: Models & Mechanisms

Symposium - Cambridge, United States

This one-day Symposium will focus on how misfolded proteins contribute to disease and disease processes at the cellular and whole-organism level, highlighting the diverse biological models that can be used to address this issue. It is becoming increasingly clear that protein misfolding underlies many disease states, including neurodegenerative diseases, prion diseases, type 2 diabetes, cystic fibrosis and cancer. In addition, it is thought to contribute to the normal process of aging. Please join us on Tuesday, September 4th, 2012, at The Broad Institute, to hear the latest advances in this area from ten world-renowned experts in the field.

The Symposium is organized by Susan Lindquist (MIT) and Vivian Siegel, (The Broad Institute, and Editor-in-Chief of Disease Models & Mechanisms).
