Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following: Non-Coding RNA: Brain Plasticity and Disease
This advanced course is presented by the Neuroscience School of Advanced Studies. The course will be instructed by several highly-esteemed faculty members. A major focus of this Advanced Course will be to explore the roles of ncRNA in neuronal plasticity and associated higher brain functions. Further, the possibilities and challenges of using microRNA and other ncRNAs as therapeutic and diagnostic tools for neurodegenerative and other neuropsychatric conditions will be discussed.

Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following: Microbiota and The Brain
This advanced course, conducted by the Neuroscience School of Advanced Studies, will focus on the tools and strategies being used to understand the effects of the microbiome on brain function and behaviour. Its Faculty will focus on all aspects of microbiome science from a basic science, clinical medicine and population-based level and how it interfaces with neuroimmunology, neuroendocrinology, nutrition, neurology & psychiatry. No advanced knowledge of the microbiome is required. Finally, it will point to the hopes (and hype) surrounding nutritional and microbial-based intervention strategies for a variety of brain disorders. It will be of interest to a wide range of basic and clinical scientists and during all sessions a strong emphasis will be placed on open, interactive discussions and a strong encouragement for participants to interact as much as possible with the Faculty.

Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following: Cell-Reprogramming Technology in Neuroscience
The Advanced Course on Cell-Reprogramming Technology in Neuroscience: Circuit Function, Regeneration and Repair will provide an overview of major recent development in this field, with a focus on new experimental tools that have entered the scene in recent years. The Faculty include international leaders in the study of brain circuitry, genetic engineering for cellular programming and reprogramming, and their use for brain repair, as well as the possibilities opening up by the next generation of viral vector technologies that now are under development.

Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following: Autophagy and Neuroprotection
Conducted by the Neuroscience School of Advanced Studies, the Autogphagy and Neuroprotection Advanced Course will provide participants with a firm foundation in the biology of autophagy and the forms of autophagy that are specific to particular cargo, such as mitography. The participants will also familiarize themselves with the latest innovations to measure autophagy in biological systems and human disease, and strategies to target autophagy therapeutically.

Spotlight on Science Meetings, Conferences and Events brings you information on the following: The Molecular Stratagem of Glioblastoma
Glioblastomas (GBMs) remain one of the more aggressive cancers, with no change in standard of care for almost 20 years and median lifespan from time of diagnosis to death of about 15 months. This bleak outcome has stimulated ongoing efforts to reveal new insights into tumor components and to develop new strategies for keeping this tumor at bay. This Advanced Course will focus on recent technologies and findings that provide new ways of understanding and potentially treating this tumor.

Conference - Zelarino (Venice), Italy
During the 2 days, ophthalmologists, geneticists, pediatricians and research scientists from Europe and the USA will address topics such as the management of glaucoma and cataract, the genetic bases of aniridia and which treatment to develop for the pathologies affecting the ocular surface and the posterior segment.
