The three BioResearch Product Faire™ Events and one Biotechnology Vendor Showcase™ Event on the West Coast in March and April saw nearly 700 life science researchers who came out to meet with sales reps from dozens of different companies. These researchers were able to discover the best new tools and technologies to use in their labs, while getting direct answers to their research questions.
With so many researchers in attendance, it is important for a company to stand out, be professional, and be accessible to the researchers to make the most of the limited time at the event.
At the end of each event, Biotechnology Calendar, Inc. selects a sales representative who stood out and came to the event prepared to exhibit, engaged with attendees in a friendly and interested manner and showed remarkable salesmanship skills in working to meet researchers and market life science products. Whoever is chosen wins the coveted 5-Star Award.
What is the 5-Star Award?
This award is given to the sales representatives of one company who meet the following criteria during the event:
Strong and professional presence throughout the event.Rep arrives on time, sets-up before the event, and stays until the event has finished.
Table display is appealing, informative, and provides researchers with an incentive to visit (i.e. swag items to give away, company brochures, discount coupons, etc).
Accessible and engaged staff focused on discussing products and services with researchers instead of checking their personal electronics.
Researchers who visit the booth engage well with the sales rep, and the table appears to be a popular place for researchers to visit.
Sales rep is professional, enthusiastic, and represents both their company and the event well.
