February saw a high turn-out of attendees, both researchers and lab supply companies, at 3 exceptional biotechnology events. 2 Biotechnology Vendor Showcase™ Events and 1 BioResearch Product Faire™ Event brought together hundreds of life science researchers with lab suppliers eager to display their products directly to the lab researchers who use the products and have the funding to acquire new supplies.
At these events, sales reps are expected to gain new sales leads that will ultimately provide a good ROI for their company. Often times it can be hard for a sales rep to get the recognition deserved for being a great salesperson at an event. Biotechnology Calendar, Inc. likes to honor one top sales rep at each event, by choosing one person to win the 5 Star Award.
The 5 Star Award is given to an exceptional sales rep who stood out form the rest and came to the event prepared to exhibit, engaged with attendees in a friendly and interested manner and showed remarkable salesmanship skills in working to meet researchers and market their company's products.
To be considered for this award, a sales professional must represent the 5 points of the S.T.A.R.S.
Strong and professional presence throughout the event. Rep arrives on time, sets-up before the event, and stays until the end.
Table display is appealing and informative, and provides researchers with an incentive to visit (i.e. swag items to give away or company brochures).
Accessible and engaged staff focused on talking with researchers instead of checking their phones and computers.
Researchers who visit the booth engage well with the sales rep, and the tables appears to be a popular place for researchers to visit.
Sales rep is professional and well represents both their company and the event.
