The University of Maryland, Baltimore recently received a grant of $15.2 million to establish a new IGS Genome Center for Infectious Diseases (GCID). The university construction of the new center will enable researchers to use innovative genomics techniques to gain a better understanding of pathogen biology.
This new grant is a great example of the generous support UM Baltimore receives for its ongoing pioneering genomic research.
