Mouse Phenome Database: Knowledge to Drive Discovery
Seminar - The Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor, Maine, US
The March webinar series is about the ABC's of mouse research
Don’t waste valuable time and money replicating others’ research discoveries. The JAX Mouse Phenome Database (MPD) has amassed a growing collection of data – including over 500,000 individual data points from over 2,500 different phenotypic traits – on more than 750 strains. Use MPD to validate your phenotypic data, select a genetic background, and discover genotypic and phenotypic correlations. In this webinar you will:
-Learn to identify strains with unique phenotypes related to development, neurobiology, cardiovascular biology, diabetes, obesity, immunology, hematology, and aging
-Compare and contrast hundreds of phenotypes inherent to inbred genetic backgrounds
-Repeat or establish methodologies using detailed protocols validated by experts in their fields
-Validate phenotypic data, select a genetic background, and discover genotypic and phenotypic correlations
