Conference - Houston, TX, United States
Epigenetic changes are prevalent in many cancers, leading to abnormal gene expression patterns, decreased genome integrity, and abnormal cell division. Recent studies have revealed that the enzymes regulating DNA methylation and histone modification states are directly influenced by environmental and metabolic factors, which also contribute to cancer formation and progression. This symposium will bring together experts in cancer epigenetics, metabolism, and environmental carcinogenesis to share discoveries regarding the molecular mechanisms underlying epigenetic regulation of normal and cancer cell growth, with the goal of stimulating new ideas for cancer prevention and treatment.
