The Center for Genomic Studies on Mental Disorders at Rutgers University has received $8.9 million from the NIH in 2017. The center has received over $143 million since 2003.

A new, $115 million, Chemistry and Chemical Biology Building will opened last year features additional laboratory space for research in drug design, alternative energy, nanotechnology, and biomaterials.
