This FASEB Science Conference uniquely and exclusively focuses on microbial polysaccharides and glycoconjugates.Glycobiology is a rapidly growing field, and often at other glycobiology meetings many important microbial aspects are overlooked. Microbial glycobiology research needs a multi-disciplinary approach to understand the sophisticated structures of these molecules and to then utilize this knowledge for pharmaceutical or industrial applications.
This meeting serves as an important forum to encourage interdisciplinary interactions that could lead to new cutting-edge research directions and applications for microbial glycobiology. The meeting attracts microbiologists, cell biologists, biochemists, chemists and industry representatives in an ideal forum for diverse attendees to share this common interest.
