Conference - Hinxton, Cambridge, United Kingdom
The 9th Rat Genomics and Models conference will focus on the use of the rat (Rattus norvegicus) as a model for studying the aetiology of complex diseases in humans, including hypertension, diabetes, renal failure, neurological disorders and cancer. The scientific sessions will be organized based on disease and/or technology focus and the participants will present data generated using a broad array of genetics- and genomics-based approaches and disease models.
A diverse program will feature a variety of scientific sessions from genomics and integrative biology to modelling complex genetic disease and updates on the latest, state-of-the-art technologies and approaches for manipulating the rat genome. We welcome abstracts from all areas relevant to rat genomics and rat models, several oral presentations will be selected from the abstracts submitted.
Scientific sessions will include:
- Genomics
- Manipulating the genome
- Cardiovascular disease
- Neurobiology and addiction
- Tumour biology
- Metabolism and inflammation
- Integrative biology
- Emerging areas
