Symposium - La Jolla, CA, United States
Recent research has identified many cell types, molecular pathways and biological mechanisms for regenerating lung tissue. These insights, combined with advances in tissue engineering, have allowed physicians, scientists and engineers to generate the first functioning prototypes of engineered lung tissue. Leaders in the fields of lung function and mechanics, lung progenitor cell biology, and lung engineering will gather in La Jolla in January 2015 to share observations and strategies for advancing the field of lung regeneration.
