Formerly Managing Mouse Colonies, this popular and friendly workshop is a collaboration between MRC Harwell, the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute, the RSPCA Transgenic Training Working Group (TTWG) and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. The course aims to introduce experienced technicians, veterinarians and scientific staff involved in the management of mouse colonies to best practices that optimise scientific goals while maximizing animal welfare. The programme covers the differing disciplines involved in production, maintenance, phenotyping and archiving of both wild type and GM lines
