Epigenetics: Bridging Development and Disease

Posted on Apr 10, 2015 12:47:41 AM

Conference - Boston, MA, United States

Epigenetics has emerged as important biological regulator and is emerging as the next therapeutic target. This meeting is geared at evaluating the impact the epigenetic mechanisms affiliated with chromatin control have on developmental processes as well as how misregulation of these processes impact diseases such as cancer. The talks will feature a number of model systems and disease models being used to understand epigenetics. The meeting will also feature the future therapeutics and the advances made in this space.
There will be two keynote speakers that embody this meeting. Dr. Thomas Jenuwein will be the speaker on the first day and Dr. Tony Kouzarides will be on the second day. These two individuals made a major impact on this field from the very beginning. The speakers that are joining these keynotes are world renowned and pushing epigenetics in the present and future. The meeting is aimed to bring all types of scientist together (those that are experts as well as those that are new to this area). We hope that conversations and collaborations will emerge from this meeting.
