Humanized Mice in Type 1 Diabetes, Infection Studies, and other Diseases

There is an increasing use of mouse stocks in which the activities of various human molecules and engrafted cells can be studied, including their contributions to autoimmune type 1 diabetes, the control of infections, as well as other disease states. The purpose of this meeting is to better inform the scientific community on the availability, uses, and limitations of various "humanized mouse models" to study various disease states.
