• Investigate novel strategies to treat tuberculosis, either through direct antimicrobial interventions or the manipulation of host immunity;
• Bring together a unique combination of experts in immunology, inflammation, mycobacteriology and drug development to accelerate much-needed therapeutic advances;
• Glean lessons learned from other fields, such as cancer, acute inflammation and viral infections, which could be applied to tuberculosis.
