Science Researcher Update: Spotlight on Meetings, Conferences, and Events

Chromatin Snapshot Highlights: Methylation, Enhancers and Cancer

Posted on Oct 29, 2014 9:17:52 AM

Conference - Boston, MA, United States

Epigenetics and Chromatin are playing fundamental roles in the development of organisms as well as the development of pathologies such as cancer. This series of meetings will aim to bring together both the scientists studying the fundamentals of chromatin and epigenetics and those scientists studying specific systems or diseases that chromatin dynamics could be impacting. We hope that this journal club will inspire dialog, lots of questions, future collaborations, and most of all, energetic exchange. The meeting will have at least two keynote speakers and a selection of talks from trainees (e.g., graduate students and postdoctoral fellows). This meeting will feature Drs. Ali Shilatifard and Scott Armstrong. There will also be a poster session for all that send in abstracts to the event. Lastly, there will be a panel discussion at the end with the organizers (Drs. Cigall Kadoch and Johnathan Whetstine) and the keynote speakers. This venue is meant to promote questions and discussion after a day long series of talks and posters. This event will be free of charge for all attendees but early registration is required.
