Workshop - Biopolis, Singapore
In the International Year of Light, realizing the importance of Biophotonics in biomedical diagnostics, Singapore Bioimaging Consortium (SBIC) supported by International Union of Pure and Applied Biophysics (IUPAB) is organizing the first international Tropical School of Biophotonics in Singapore from 5th-9th October 2015. This school aims to educate and train ~25 international participants at PhD student and young postdoctoral level in the field of biophotonics and fellowships are available to international participants covering the cost of return flight and accomodation.
Tropical School of Biophotonics will provide an outstanding program including lectures from renowned worldwide experts and hands-on workshop training on current biophotonics techniques while fostering an international atmosphere for the participants to exchange scientific ideas and also seek career guidance within the photonics field.
The Tropical School of Biophotonics covers the following topics:
- Optical Microscopy
- Fluorescence imaging & bioluminescence imaging
- Multi-modal optical imaging
- Raman Spectroscopy and Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS)
- Photoacoustic tomography
- Diffuse optical tomography, near-infrared spectroscopy, hyperspectral imaging
- Surface plasmon resonance biosensing and imaging
- And many others!!!
