We'd like to thank the speakers, attendees, supporting associations, sponsors and exhibitors who contributed to the success of the 6th Annual Operating Theatre Management Conference in August 2014.
Focusing on strategies for implementing the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and the importance of communication to improve patient safety and clinical practice, the two day conference brought together operating room management and perioperative professionals to review current initiatives across the country.
Discussions highlighted infection control, communication in clinical handover, operating theatre efficiency and redesign, scope of practice, delegation and supervision of staff, and various other topics aligning to the national standards.
