Conference - Cambridge, United Kingdom
Wellcome Trust Scientific Conferences are pleased to announce the ninth in our series of meetings on genomic disorders. Genomics of Rare Disease: Beyond the Exome will present an exciting blend of genomic science and clinical medicine. This conference provides an excellent forum for scientists and clinicians interested in human genomic variation and the mechanisms by which it exerts its phenotypic effects.
The conference will discuss the latest findings on the genomic basis of rare disorders, which can provide powerful insights into human biology. The programme will cover some of the opportunities and challenges that arise as we move beyond comparative genomic hybridization and whole exome sequencing towards whole genome sequencing.
Scientific sessions will include:
From exomes to genomes
Rare diseases: what can we learn from cancer genomes?
Chromatin remodelling
CRISPR/Cas technology: from discovery to therapy
Matchmaking in the 21st century: the lonely exome
Pathway approaches to therapy
Ethical and policy issues in genomic medicine
