Biotechnology Calendar, Inc. hosts two Biotechnology Vendor Showcase™ Events at UCLA each year, providing laboratory suppliers with the opportunity to market their products to active life science researchers in Los Angeles. Last year's two events brought together over 1,100 researchers from 39 different research buildings and 66 on-campus departments.
This year's events are scheduled for:
April 28th, 2016 – 37th Semiannual Biotechnology Vendor Showcase™ Event
October 20th, 2016 – 38th Semiannual Biotechnology Vendor Showcase™ Event
- UCLA receives over $1 billion in research funding on a yearly basis.
- UCLA ranked 9th in the nation for total life science R&D expenditures in 2014, spending over $674.2 million.
- UCLA receives regular support from the National Institutes of Health, including $371.3 million in FY 2015.
- UCLA benefits from a unique wealth of funding both public and private, which results in hundreds of patents annually, and some of the best medical and life science research in the world.
