- The University of Georgia broke ground on the $44.7 million construction project of a Science Learning Center. The 122,500-square-foot facility will add 33 teaching labs to the South campus for the chemistry, biological sciences, plant biology, and physics department.
- UGA administrators plan to use $10 million modernize the existing labs in UGA’s chemistry and biology buildings, both first occupied in 1960. The renovated labs will primarily become facilities for faculty research.
