Attending the 10th annual BioResearch Product Faire™ Event in Rochester gives you the opportunity to meet life science researchers, demonstrate your lab products and get an edge on your competition. The Mayo Clinic is a world-renowned, nonprofit organization and a leader in life science research and clinic trials. Researchers and research departments at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester are heavily funded and have the means and desire to purchase new lab equipment that they can use to further their research. Research departments at the mayo Clinic are very well funded from grants and awards. In the 2014 fiscal year, the Mayo Clinic in Rochester received $200,614,647 in total funding from the NIH for life science research. This funding is to support ongoing research projects, establish new buildings, and start new clinical trials and research projects.

More Rochester Mayo Clinic News and Funding Stats: 

  • In 2012 the Mayo Clinic received $634 million in new research funding $386 from Government, foundations and industry; and $248 from Mayo Clinic funds and benefactor gifts. 
  • Mayo Clinic researchers will take part in a $12.7 million NIH funded study intended to advance research in new applications for existing therapeutic compounds.
  • Researchers at the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic have received a $1.35 million grant to study a form of blood cancer called myelodysplastic syndrome
  • The State of Minnesota, Mayo Clinic and the Rochester community have entered into an unprecedented public-private partnership to develop the Destination Medical Center which will house, among other facilities, a massive radiation treatment center.
