 Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey is a large research school that ranks in the top 75 schools for NSF grants. Rutgers is constantly expanding with building upgrades and staff that lead to new research projects and need for equipment.

Key Stats:

  • 2015 Life Science R & D Expenditures: 35th Ranked = $366,179,000

  • Researchers at Rutgers have been awarded $19 million from the NIH to develop drug therapies to combat the potential use of chemical weapons such as mustard gas in a terrorist attack.

  • The Center for Genomic Studies on Mental Disorders at Rutgers University has received $8.9 million from the NIH in 2017. The center has received over $143 million since 2003.
