The meeting has a special emphasis on calcium signaling in the brain and the role of calcium ions and calcium-binding proteins in memory and learning as well as diseases of the brain, although other areas will also be covered, e.g. heart and cancer. With a molecular empahsis the speakers cover all aspects of calcium signalling from the prespectives of physical chemistry, structural biology, biochemistry, biology, medicine, genetics, etc.
