Developing a Graduate Level BluePrint for a STEM Life: Cell Biology and More
Meeting - Birmingham, AL, USA
The overall goal of the meeting is to provide an encouraging and informative platform for undergraduate scholars from underrepresented ethnic, racial, and gender groups who are interested in pursuing a graduate career in the STEM sciences. This conference will address the following questions: How do I successfully navigate the graduate application process? What scores do I need on the GRE? How do I develop an avenue of mentorship and networking with a possible scientist.? Do I need my own funding for graduate school? What do other graduate/post doctoral fellows feel about graduate process. Our panelists and speakers will include current graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and senior scientists that are committed to providing guidance and support that is needed to successfully launch your educational and professional pursuits in the S.T.E.M. field. There will be a poster competition! All are welcome to present you scientific works! This event is open to all including those who would like to sponsor a table or donate swag to this outstanding community event to promote higher education!
