NoRDI III North Regio Day on Infection
Symposium - Braunschweig, Germany
Pathogens and their molecular „weapons“, mechanisms of immune defense, new approaches for therapies and drugs against bacteria and viruses: a large variety of different topics from the field of infection research is part of the NoRDI programme 2012. Following the symposium, the Jürgen Wehland Prize for young scientists in infection research will be awarded for the second time in honourable remembrence of the former Scientific Director of the HZI.
The „North-Regio-Day“ on Infection“ (NoRDI) was established in 2010 as a central event and meeting place for scientists from universities and research institutes of the North Regions of Germany to exchange new research results, recent technical developments and to discuss important questions and future tasks in different fields of infection biology. The meeting is of great interest for junior scientists wishing an up-date of the state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of bacterial and viral pathogenesis. It will give them the chance to discuss their research results with established scientists of the field.
NoRDI is coordinated by the HZI, the Technical University Braunschweig, the Robert Koch Institute Wernigerode and the Twincore and sponsored with funds from the Ministery for Science and Culture of Lower Saxony and the Robert Koch Institute. No participation fee is required.
