Workshop - Orlando, Florida, USA
Call for Papers
In conjunction with the 3rd ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Biomedicine (ACM BCB 2012)
In several research areas of computational biology, problems are modeled using a mathematical optimization criteria, such as likelihood under a model. In many situations, the configuration of the solution is at least as important as the objective value. In some areas, such questions have been tackled using tools like bootstrapping and jackknifing. Our goal is to bring together researchers from all areas of computational biology where techniques are being developed to study the stability of biological systems and computational solutions. Further, we wish to raise awareness to the issues of stability in all areas of biology.
We invite original technical contributions, including position papers on stability and robustness of biological systems and/or computational solutions in all areas of bioinformatics, including but not limited to:
Systems Biology
Protein & RNA Structure
Comparative Genomics, Population & Cancer Genomics
Algorithms for Sequence Analysis
Bioimage analysis
Databases, Knowledgebases & Ontologies
