Bio/Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Companies on Collaboration with Cooperative Groups

CBI's 3rd Annual Forum - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

CBI is pleased to provide the only forum convening professionals from Cooperative Groups, bio/pharmaceutical companies, academic medical centers as well as representatives from the National Institutes of Health. Cooperative Group Studies are an increasingly-valuable resource for industryto explore new indications and access large patient populations. These government-funded organizations connect industry to a network of best-in-class clinical research institutions and personnel who publish highly-regarded data. Given NCI’s newly-announced plans to consolidate the Cooperative Group System down to four groups and recent deadlines on trial activation, it is critical that Cooperative Groups and industry work together to activate studies more efficiently. This forum explores strategies to streamline communication and overcome challenges when collaborating with Cooperative Groups including simplifying the contracting process, dealing efficiently with drug distribution and improving study timelines.
