Workshop - Rehovot, Israel
This is the sixth in a successful series of annual workshops on the physics, chemistry and applications of nanowires. The series began 2008 in Lyon (France), and workshops have since been held in Lausanne (Switzerland 2009), Crete (Greece 2010), Lesvos (Greece 2011) and Berlin (Germany 2012).
Nowadays, nanowires are at the cutting edge of nanoscience and nanotechnology, which puts this workshop at the frontier of developing material science, mesoscopic physics, and device applications. The scope of this workshop, focusing on various aspects of nanowires, is sufficiently narrow to make all presentations interesting for all participants.
This workshop series stands out in its spirit and as an informal ground for exchange of ideas in this constantly growing field of research.
