*New combinations of immunotherapy and drug treatments have led slowly to the concept that some commonly used drugs may synergize with immunotherapy. There is increasing in vitro and in vivo evidence to support the emerging concept of chemotherapy /immunotherapy combinations for cancer. This symposium will explore key themes as follows
• How chemotherapy alters the immunogenicity of tumour cells
• The effects of chemotherapy on immune regulation
• How chemotherapy can be combined to best effect with vaccines or other immunotherapy
