Congress - Munich, Germany
I would like to invite you to attend the 14th Immunology of Diabetes Society Congress in Munich from April 12 to 16, 2015.
The IDS is challenged by the increasing number of children with type 1 diabetes worldwide, an autoimmune disease that can occur at any age, and our limited ability to change its course once autoimmunity has started. We are in exciting times with an unprecedented ability to generate data together, and this calls for us to see, hear, and discuss the data openly, critically, and constructively. This is the spirit of IDS 2015. We will bring together the experts, the data, those who think the same, those who think differently, and those who fund us to find the cause and the cure. Most of all, we want all of you who contribute to changing the course of autoimmune diabetes to be at the IDS in Munich, where we hope the relaxed Bavarian atmosphere will help us all achieve this. Together, we will be looking at what leads to islet autoimmunity in children, the biomarkers that stage checkpoints of disease development and intervention, what goes on inside the pancreas, and how we are and should be intervening to change the course of disease. Please join us in a meeting of discovery and collaboration in the cause, prevention, and cure of type 1 diabetes
