Conference - Suzhou, China
Dynamic changes in cell behavior are fundamental determinants of tissue biology, encompassing cell division, growth, development, and tissue morphogenesis. Changes in cellular dynamics are also observed in all disease states including cancer. Many aspects of cell biology such as cell polarity, the cytoskeleton, tissue regeneration, cancer cell metastasis and axonal growth all contribute to the broadly focused topic of cellular dynamics. This conference will provide a focus for the many investigators working on various aspects of cellular dynamics. Key questions to be discussed will include the following: How do signaling networks spatially organize the cell into polarized structures? How do cell polarity, cell cytoskeleton, cell-cell, and cell-matrix adhesion signaling pathways and tissue microenvironment affect cellular dynamics during biological process such as cell migration, tissue morphogenesis, neuronal development, tissue regeneration and cancer? And what are the new technologies that we need to analyse cellular dynamics. By bringing together investigators from diverse disciplines we aim to develop new concepts to understand how regulation of dynamic cell behaviour contributes to health and disease.
