Conference - Washington, United States
This AACR Special Conference will discuss novel approaches in the treatment of brain cancers; the role of mathematics and computational modeling in the analysis of large amounts of data; and the development of animal models that faithfully recapitulate human brain cancers and their use in preclinical studies. The conference co-chairpersons developed the program in hopes of addressing the mathematical and computational issues typically not covered in brain cancer conferences. The program will attract not only basic, clinical, and translational cancer researchers (pediatric and adult), but also mathematicians and researchers involved in evolutionary dynamics and computational issues. Several talks will be presented by researchers outside of the "brain cancer" field, but whose work may have future applications in this area of cancer research.
