Biotechnology vendors and lab suppliers interested in promoting products in Seattle will find a lucrative marketplace at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, according to recent funding statistics from the National Institutes of Health.

Researchers at Fred Hutch are conducting active research in several fields of oncology that require millions in annual R&D expenditures. For example, in 2014 Fred Hutch received 252 awards from the NIH, worth over $227 million.

So far in 2015, the NIH has awarded 88 grants to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center totaling over $103 million in research funding. Below we have highlighted a few of the notable contributions to various research departments at Fred Hutch. For a full list of research funding, visit the NIH website.

Key funding statistics from Fred Hutch:

  • FHCRC has an annual research budget close to $400 million.
  • The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Seattle Children's Research Institute have formed a new biotech company called Juno Therapeutics and is being launched with $120 million.
  • The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center received a donation of $20 million from Mike Bezos to support development of novel cancer immunotherapies.
  • Uncovering colon cancer’s genetic roots is the focus of a new $13 million, four-year, National Cancer Institute-funded project at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Seattle’s leading life science researchers will be attending the 10th Annual BioResearch Product Faire™ Event at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research on Wednesday, August 12 to network and investigate the latest biotech and lab supplies for their studies.

BCI events are the only life science tradeshows to offer exclusive access to hundreds of researchers on campus, on their own home turf. Unlike many of our competitiors' events, BCI events give lab vendors access to:

-Prominent and active attendees on-site at Fred Hutch-
-Average 28% decison-maker attendance rate-
-4500 corporate print and electronic impressions for your products-
-Extensive catering, Concierge services & Free parking-
-An exclusive $400M+ life science research Marketplace-

This event puts vendors in touch with hundreds of active scientists, researchers and medical professionals from Fred Hutchinson and the Seattle area interested in cutting-edge biotechnologies and lab supplies.

Last year, the BioResearch Product Faire™ Event at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research attracted hundreds of prominent and decision-making attendees, including purchasing agents, professors, post docs, and lab managers from 9 different research buildings and 16 departments.
