(J6) Keystone Symposia: Innate Immunity to Viral Infections
Conference - Keystone, CO, United States
The conference will:
• Highlight the similarities and differences in antiviral defense across vertebrate and non-vertebrate species;
• Bring together specialists in virology, immunology and pathogenesis to discuss the mechanisms involved in virus/host discrimination, the effector responses involved in restricting virus spread and the impact of innate antiviral immunity on disease;
• Further contribute to the development of an integrated view of viral disease, immunity and pathogenesis through the joint pairing with the meeting on “Pathogenesis of Respiratory Viruses.”
Session Topics:
• Antiviral Strategies across Taxa
• Effector Responses and Viral Evasion
• Virus Detection by the Host (Joint)
• Signaling Responses to Virus Infection
• Induction of Immunity at Epithelial Surfaces (Joint)
• Defense from Retroviruses
• IFNs and ISGs
• Antiviral Innate Immunity in Disease
