Communication Skills Course for Scientific Researchers
Course - London, United Kingdom
This one-day course develops written and spoken communication skills.
Communication skills are essential in the 21st century. Scientists must be able to explain their work effectively and memorably to nonspecialist audiences as well as to their peers.
The course is practical and gives advice on writing a press release and a newspaper feature in a compelling, jargon-free way. After learning the key lessons, all delegates will give a short talk from a lectern about an aspect of their work.
The course will also teach how to chair conferences and how to run question and answer sessions.
This course is designed exclusively for scientists and is tutored by leading journalists and communications professionals, Judith Hann and John Exelby.
