The fifth annual Wellcome Trust conference on Genomic Epidemiology of Malaria will be held at the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus from 8-11 June 2014. This meeting provides a common forum for malaria scientists and clinicians working at the interface of genome science and technology, epidemiology, and statistical and population genetics, with an interest in understanding the clinical and biological consequences of genome variation in malaria-exposed populations.The meeting will explore the genomic epidemiology of the host, vector and parasite, highlighting the practical relevance of this research to global health, including anti-malarial drug resistance, insecticide resistance, vaccine design, and mechanisms of protective immunity.
