Workshop - Zante, Greece
A major consideration in designing a modern production system is its availability. When component of the system fails, the system reconfiguration is often less than perfect. To analyze the system with failure/repair processes, discrete event and metaheuristic models are used. As a manufacturing system includes a large number of components with failure/repair processes, the system-level conventional model becomes computationally intractable. We aim to discuss new formalisms for the diagnosis of such systems using a new production framework, e.g. Industrial Artificial Social Systems (IASoS).
