The University of Arizona, Tucson is ranked among the nation’s top medical schools for research and primary care and is also the best life science market in the state. The university has 23 clinical and medical centers full of life science professionals that spent over $277M on life science research.

UA Researchers received a $6.1 million grant to advance arthritis research over the next five years.

The University of Arizona received a five year, $6 million grant from Fondation Leducq, a French non-profit health research foundation, for an interdisciplinary, collaborative push to better understand how the heart deals with mechanical stress under healthy conditions and in the case of a defect.

Researchers at the University of Arizona were awarded a five year, $2.5 million R01 NIH grant to support their laboratory research on the mechanisms behind the sensation of chronic pain.

The CDC awarded the University of Arizona a four year, $2 million award to further autism research at the UA Steele Children’s Research Center.

A $1.5 million gift was awarded to the UA College of Medicine to support fat tissue disorder research.
