New York Area Life Science Marketing Events

Stony Brook University BioResearch Product Faire™ Event – 9/28/16 (Only 7 spaces left!)

-This year the university is set to complete construction of a $423 million expansion project, including a new Medical and Research Translation (MART) building. The new research facility will focus on cancer research and treatment and will also house advanced biomedical imaging and biomedical informatics.

-A few years ago the university received the sixth largest donation ever made to an American public university; a total of $200 million including a $150M gift from the Simons Foundation.

-The university also received $60M to build an Innovation and Discovery Center on its Research & Development Campus. Construction will begin this year.

The Armory Track & Field Center (Columbia) BioResearch Product Faire™ Event– 9/29/16 

-In 2014, researchers at Columbia University spent over $585,344,000 in life science R&D.

- Columbia University Medical center recently formed a $30 million alliance with Biogen Idecwith Biogen Idec to target genetic research on discovering the causes of diseases and identifying new treatments.

Rockefeller University BioResearch Product Faire™ Event – 9/30/16 (Only 9 spaces left!)

-Last year construction begain on a new $240 million, 160,000 square foot research building. The Kravis Research Building will accomodate 26 labs and 440 scientists. 

- A recent $20 million endowment will support formation of the Kavli Neural Systems Institute. This institute will house 36 Rockefeller neuroscience faculty researchers studying brain-related disorders and injuries.

- Individual companies at last fall's BioResearch Product Faire™ event reported an average of over $43,000 in potential ROI.
