2015 Life Science R & D Expenditures: 15th Ranked = $617,658,000 [1]

2015 NIH Funding: $378,070,895 [2]

A four year, $60 million NIH grant will fund research into the genetic underlyings of common diseases at WashU. [3]

Researchers at Washington University, St. Louis are leading a $32 million, multi-institutional campaign to harness a newly recognized cellular defense against infection. [4]

Washington University was the recipient of a five year, $26 million NIH grant to boost Alzheimer's research in the lab and clinically. [5]

A $13 million grant to study how the Ebola virus replicates has been awarded to a team of Washington University researchers. [6]

A $10.4 million, five-year grant was awarded to Washington University researchers and physicians to lead a national group of experts in collaborative pancreatic cancer research. [7]

The School of Medicine received a $10 million gift to support research that harnesses the immune system to fight cancer, infectious diseases, and disorders caused by autoimmunity and immune deficiencies. [8]

Washington University researchers received a four-year, $8 million grant to investigate the genetic and environmental roots of cardiovascular disease risk factors. [9]
