On behalf of the Board of the Italian Society for Neuroscience (SINS), of the Program and Local Organizer Committees we are pleased to announce that next National Congress of the Italian Society of Neuroscience will be held in Rome, at the Angelicum Congress Centre, October 3-5, 2013. This year the Congress will be dedicated to the memory of Nobel Laureate Prof. Rita Levi-Montalcini, who passed away on 30 December 30, 2012. Rita Levi-Montalcini was Honorary Member of the Society and one of the leading figures in the establishment of modern Neuroscience.
The Congress is aimed at stimulating new and productive interactions among basic and clinical scientists involved in this exciting area of research. As in past editions, the Congress will be characterized by a multidisciplinary approach to molecular, cellular and integrative mechanisms underlying the organization and function of the central and peripheral nervous system, to the neural bases of behavioural and cognitive functions, as well as to the pathophysiology of neurodevelopmental, neurological and psychiatric disorders.
The Congress will consist of: invited lectures, symposia, poster sessions.
