Will Big Data and Bigger Cuts Cripple Bioinformatics?
Symposium - Cambridge, United Kingdom
Eagle's annual symposia started in 2011 and have been a big success. The one day event is intended for an audience of bioinformaticians, IT specialists, and innovation IT managers from across the life sciences and biotechnology industry.
This year's topic relates to the need to increase efficiency in bioinformatics teams and resources when faced with frequent arrivals of big data (e.g. NGS) and a shortage of skilled staff to manage and analyse that data. Speaker subjects will cover a variety of topics under this efficiency umbrella including automation, planning, analysis tool selection, storage, outsourcing, collaboration, and general best practice.
