Rockefeller University has a wealth of research funding available, making New York one of the best funded markets for laboratory equipment sales. According to recent NIH and NSF research funding statistics, the university was awarded at least $70.9 million in 2012. The NIH in particular awarded Rockefeller University $70.1 million in 2012. The money was distributed out to a number of research projects across a range of departments at the university. For the convenience of our readers, we have compiled a list broken down by the number of projects awarded research funding in some of the science research disciplines and the total amount of funding for those projects. For the full list of departments, number of awards and funding, please visit the NIH website.

According to the National Association of College and University Business Officers, Rockefeller University is one of the most fiscally stable universities in the United States. The university’s endowments totaled $1.7 billion in 2011, and research disciplines included biochemistry, structural biology, molecular cell and developmental biology, immunology, virology and microbiology, medical sciences and human genetics, and neuroscience. Rockefeller University scientists also won recently $3 million in the form of a life science research prize.
Given the research funding statistics provided by the NIH, NSF and National Association of College and University Business Officers, it’s clear that Rockefeller University is a well-funded market with a lot of potential for laboratory equipment sales. Biotechnology Calendar, Inc. invites all biotechnology vendors and lab suppliers to network with science researchers, purchasing agents and lab managers at Rockefeller University at our annual Rockefeller BioResearch Product Faire™ Event on March 28, 2013. Biotechnology Calendar, Inc. is a full-service science research marketing and event-planning company that has run on-campus trade shows at universities nationwide for 20 years.
Last year, our Rockefeller BioResearch Product Faire™ Event was visited by 398 attendees. Of those who came, 102 were purchasing agents, professors, and post docs, and 22 were lab managers. The attendees came from 28 different research buildings and 77 departments around campus.
