Science Trade Shows, Booth Giveaways, and ... Who Won at Cell Bio?

Trade shows provide a great opportunity to connect with your market.

Trade shows are such a great place to reconnect with people that you know and make new connections as well. We meet lots of researchers at our own events, but going to another event puts you in front of a new audience. We exhibit to make ourselves easy for all of our customers to do business with.  Also it allows us to keep up with whats going on in the world of science, science markets, and marketing.

Trade shows work and thats why we like them

Our company offers the trade show format at a smaller scale at locations where researchers work. Below are the following advantages:

  • Researchers come on their own time so the sales reps don't need to feel like they are interrupting the researchers work.
  • Sales reps can meet with researchers in a receptive frame of mind since they know and trust us as event organizers.
  • Sales reps don't have to compete with the excitement of a travel destination and the competition of ongoing seminars, meetings, and other networking events taking place at the same time.
  • Researchers come with fresh research challenges on their mind and are actively seeking solutions.
  • Literature goes back to the lab with the researchers where it is on hand at ordering time.

Researchers come to see what's new and what they don't know about.
Using the best tools saves time and leads to new discoveries.

Booth drawings allow you to connect favorably with your market

If you participated as an exhibitor at the Cell Biology 2012 Meeting in San Francisco we hope you stopped by our booth to say hi!  We talked with lots of exhibitors both at our booth and on the trade show floor. At Cell Biology 2012, we held a drawing for a free exhibit space at our trade show booth, and over one hundred life science supply companies entered for the opportunity to win.

Earlier today Amanda Long from our home office selected the official winner for our Cell Biology Vendor Drawing. Can you see what company it is??  Find out here.

Use the Booth Drawing as a stepping stone for further interaction

For example, we (and you) could simply call the winner and let them know they won, however, what about all the other folks that were interested enough to give you their contact information? In our case, since we really like the lab suppliers we do business with, we have a hard time with only one person as a winner and the rest are... well "not winners", so we took this as an opportunity to incorporate a second chance to win. In this case the main prize was a full marketing, product demonstration, and direct client contact exhibit package at any of our shows nationwide. The value of this package runs between $500 and $2500 (depending on the market and package selected). We designed a second chance giveaway package with a lower but still very significant value. "The Second Chance Giveaway" for this promotion is a $500 credit to be used for any available show nationwide.  This provides  a nice opportunity to the  people that did not win the main prize to express their interest in our programs and possibly save $500 at a future event.
