Are you looking to connect with researchers on the east coast? Consider attending Biotechnology Calendar, Inc.'s East Coast Bioscience Shows, which take place at top funded research universities. At Biotechnology Calendar, Inc., we provide three levels of life science research events nationwide: Biotechnology Vendor Showcase™ (BVS), BioResearch Product Faire™ (BRPF), and BioResearch Product Faire™ Front Line Events.
Biotechnology Calendar, Inc. got its start in 1994 with our Biotechnology Vendor Showcase™ series at UC San Diego. Two years later, UCLA and UC San Francisco were added to our venues. Today, we host shows at each of these universities twice a year, drawing top life science exhibitors and researchers from the surrounding areas. The BioResearch Product Faire™ event is our nationwide vendor show series. These exhibitor meetings began as a smaller version of our BVS shows, but they now rival our BVS series in terms of researcher and exhibitor attendance. We currently provide more than 55 U.S. vendor shows a year. (See our 2013 schedule.) Front Line Event shows are streamlined and focused on putting your company at the forefront of the research community's view. These shows are offered at requested locations on a first-come, first-served basis and have limited space available.
On the east coast, we host events at institutions such as Georgetown University, whose trade show attracted 223 attendees last year. Out of these attendees, 59 were purchasing agents, professors and post docs, and 24 were lab managers. The attendees came from 13 different research buildings and 21 departments around campus. In 2012, the NIH awarded Georgetown University over $56 million in new research grants.
Lab suppliers will benefit from meeting face-to-face with lead researchers at institutions such as Longwood Medical, which hosts the Boston BioResearch Product Faire™ event. This event gives vendors and attendees the chance to participate in an active research and developmental marketplace. This year at the Boston BioResearch Product Faire™ show, we expect over 200 attendees. Last year's event attendees included over 100 purchasing agents, professors and post docs and 30 lab managers and directors. The life science professionals came from 35 different research buildings and 49 departments around campus. We are expecting an even better turnout this year.
At our Rockefeller University event, you can participate in a dynamic, $1.7 billion research and developmental marketplace, which is home to 24 Nobel laureates. Last year, the Rockefeller BioResearch Product Faire™ event attracted 398 attendees. Of these attendees, 102 were purchasing agents, professors and post docs, and 22 were laboratory managers. These attendees came from 28 different research buildings and 77 departments around campus.
Biotechnology Calendar, Inc. events provide researchers at top academic markets the opportunity to see the latest advances in new product technology. We currently offer early registration discounts to laboratory supply companies who are looking to connect with their research audience. Ten of the most active research markets in the nation are open to laboratory suppliers and service providers who want to meet face-to-face with highly funded researchers.
